Chat

Chat is your AI assistant for the whole Destesi suite. Ask it a question and it answers. Ask it to do something — generate an image, narrate some text, draft a GitHub issue, send an email, make a promo video of one of your repos — and it reaches across your other Destesi products to get it done, then drops the result straight into your Drive.

Everything happens inside your workspace, under your single sign-on session. Anything Chat needs from the outside world — your GitHub, your Gmail — it pulls from credentials you connect once in Connect.

  1. Sign in. Go to account.destesi.io, then open Chat from the 9-dot launcher. Your session follows you in — no second login. (New to the suite? Start with Accounts & SSO.)

  2. Ask it something. Type a normal request. Chat replies as a streaming conversation, exactly like you’d expect.

    Write a three-sentence product blurb for a database-branching tool.

The thread is saved on the server, so it is waiting for you on your laptop, your phone, and any browser you sign in from.

  3. Ask it to make something. Now ask for an artifact. Chat picks the right tool, runs it, and shows you the result inline.

Generate a 1024×1024 image of a friendly robot mascot.

The image is generated and auto-saved to your Drive under the “Chat generated” folder, so it’s part of your one suite-wide library — not a one-off link that expires.

  4. Find it later. Open Drive from the launcher. Every image, voiceover, and video Chat creates is registered there.

Chat’s abilities depend on which products and connections your workspace has. Out of the box it generates images; the rest light up as you connect them.

Generate images

“Make me a hero illustration of a mountain at dawn.” Chat generates it with Image generation and saves it to Drive.

Generate voiceovers

“Read this paragraph in the Nova voice.” Chat synthesizes narration with Text-to-Speech and saves the audio to Drive. The voice catalog and the languages it covers are documented in Text-to-Speech concepts.

Work with your GitHub

“What’s in the README of acme/widgets?” Chat lists repos, reads files, searches code, and reads issues and PRs from your connected GitHub. It can also draft a comment, issue, or edit — and waits for you to approve before anything posts.

Draft and send email

“Email Alice the launch summary.” Chat drafts the message from your connected Gmail and shows it to you to review and edit. Nothing sends until you click Send.

Work in Slack and Linear

“Summarize #incidents from this morning” or “open a Linear issue for that bug.” Chat reads your connected Slack and Linear directly, and drafts the writes for you to approve.

Produce promo videos

“Make a promo of acme/widgets.” Chat produces a narrated promo video of a connected repo or a live URL end to end, streaming its progress, and registers the finished MP4 in Drive.

Read your files

Attach a file from Drive — or upload one straight from the composer, up to 50 MiB — and ask questions about it. Attachments stay available for the rest of the conversation.

Chat is a peer product in the Destesi suite — same login and workspace as every other product. It doesn’t store your credentials or hoard your output:

  • Credentials for GitHub, Gmail, Slack, Linear and the rest come from Connect, where you add them once per workspace.
  • Every artifact it produces is registered in Drive — one library across the whole suite.
  • The work itself is done by your other products (Image generation, Text-to-Speech, Studio, Preview), which Chat orchestrates on your behalf.
