Connect MCP tools
Registered when the server starts with CONNECT_API_URL set. 13 tools, listed with the description the server sends in tools/list.
These are the fixed tools. On top of them the server fetches Connect’s action catalog once at boot and registers one connect_{provider}_{action} tool per action. Those come from Connect at runtime, so they are not listed here. See Connect action tools.
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
connect_create_trigger |
Create an event trigger: when a provider event fires, Connect POSTs it to target_url. Returns the ingest URL to register at the provider. The inbound and signing secrets are NOT returned: the user reveals them once in Connect (Triggers). Workspace owners and admins only. |
connect_delete_trigger |
Delete a trigger subscription. Its secrets cannot be recovered; a new trigger gets new ones. Workspace owners and admins only. |
connect_disconnect_github_installation |
Disconnect a GitHub App installation from the workspace. Preview, Review and Deploy stop reaching that account’s repositories until it is installed again from Connect. Workspace admins only. |
connect_list_accounts |
List the third-party accounts this workspace has connected — which provider, which account, and which is the default. Use it before running a connect_* action when the workspace may have SEVERAL accounts for one provider (Gmail mailboxes, YouTube channels, Meta ad accounts, WhatsApp numbers): pass the chosen account_id to the action, or it runs as whichever account is the default. |
connect_list_app_accounts |
Show which connected ACCOUNTS a Destesi app is linked to for one provider — the Gmail mailbox Commerce reads, the ad account a campaign spends from, the channel Studio publishes to. Read configured: false means nobody has chosen and the app acts as the workspace default; acts_as_nothing means it was pointed at an account that is now gone, so its calls to that provider are refused until someone chooses again. |
connect_list_app_channels |
Show which connected channels each Destesi app acts through. Connect owns messaging; any app can be linked to a channel. Use it for ‘which apps use this number’, ‘why is the sales agent not replying’, or before changing a link. Omit app to see every app. IMPORTANT: read configured alongside the selections — configured:false means nobody has chosen yet: Inbox (which receives customer WhatsApp) then hears EVERY connected channel and any other app hears NONE; configured:true with nothing selected means it answers on NONE and no customer is getting a reply. |
connect_list_github_installations |
List the GitHub App installations bound to the workspace: installation id, GitHub account, account type, and whether GitHub suspended it. |
connect_list_triggers |
List the workspace’s event-trigger subscriptions: provider, event, target URL, status and the newest delivery. Never returns secrets. |
connect_set_app_account |
Link one of the workspace’s connected accounts to an app, so the app acts as it. This changes which mailbox is read, which account posts, which ad account is charged. It does NOT connect anything — the account is already connected; this only says which ones this app uses. Linking ADDS: an app may use several accounts of one provider, so remove one with connect_unset_app_account. |
connect_set_app_channel |
Make an app answer customers on a connected channel. This changes which number real replies go out from. Selecting a SECOND channel for one app makes its replies fail as ambiguous — Connect will not guess which number a customer wrote to — so remove the old one with connect_unset_app_channel first unless the user asked for both. IMPORTANT: read configured alongside the selections — configured:false means nobody has chosen yet: Inbox (which receives customer WhatsApp) then hears EVERY connected channel and any other app hears NONE; configured:true with nothing selected means it answers on NONE and no customer is getting a reply. |
connect_set_trigger_status |
Pause or resume a trigger subscription. Workspace owners and admins only. |
connect_unset_app_account |
Stop an app using one of its linked accounts. The connection stays and other apps keep their own links — the workspace keeps the account, this app just stops using it. Removing the LAST link leaves the app acting as NOTHING for that provider: its calls are refused rather than falling back to a default nobody picked. |
connect_unset_app_channel |
Stop an app answering on a channel. The connection and the message history are untouched — the merchant keeps the number, that app just stops replying on it. Removing the LAST channel leaves the app answering nobody, which is a real setting and not a reset to the default. |
